The rail trail is a beautiful scenic 50Km trail that runs throughout the Okanagan and is easily accessible in Lake Country. From the blue waters of Kalamalka lake and Wood lake to the cliffs, forests and ponds, the rail trail will get you closer to nature than you ever thought possible.
Hiking and walking trails are some of the most widely used amenities that contribute immensely to the qualify of life in Lake Country. There is even a volunteer group ( Walk Around Lake Country) dedicated to maintaining many of the trailheads and walking trails on public land. Try Scion Kop or Pelmewash Parkway for starters!
